Wooden spoons and boards may be used often and with a little care they will last many years and get more beautiful with use.
Each spoon and board has been oiled with a beeswax mineral oil blend. The wood will naturally start to dry out over time so applying a beeswax salve or other food safe oil such as mineral oil or coconut oil will keep the wood looking it's best. Occasionally oil can be applied, left to sit for a while and then rubbed off with a clean cloth.
Do not place spoons or boards int he dishwasher. If the wood developed rough spots, a fine grit sandpaper (400-600) can be used to smooth out the grain.
The boards are designed to be used as cheese or bread boards however if chopping with a sharp knife is needed marks may appear. This can add character to the board and an occasional washing with lemon or vinegar can help keep the surface clean.
